After purchasing their first family home, this couple and their young daughter wanted to update the interiors to better match their style and way of living. With a Scandi influence and nude colour palette, an interior decoration concept was developed for the living area and master bedroom to include new furniture, accessories, art and soft furnishings.
The living area includes a three seat sofa, upholstered ottoman and leather armchair to provide flexible seating for family entertaining without crowding the space. A large rug adds texture and interest, while a console table is a great display space.
The master bedroom, designed to feel like a space to retreat into, includes a custom upholstered bedhead, sumptuous linen, a leather bench seat and textural artwork.
“Buying my first family home, I knew I wanted (and needed) some help with decorating it and choosing all the right pieces for the home and our lifestyle. I’d seen Rebecca’s work at a friend’s house and knew she’d do a great job for me too!
The process was fun and easy, all I did was share some inspiration and Rebecca presented mood boards that were spot on! I loved what she presented and was excited about the product selections she’d made. Everything was done very professionally, Rebecca had lots of options for my key pieces that worked with the mood board I’d approved. Once we’d made the final decisions, she assisted in the purchasing and removed all the hassle of doing it myself! She also went above and beyond making recommendations around flooring and window fittings that were not in the brief.
The end result is great, the house looks nicer than I could have imagined – on brief, warm and modern as well as practical for us and our children.
I’d highly recommend Rebecca.” – AM, client.
